Why Harris Creek?

I moved to Waco with the goal to really dig in as a seminary student in the big city (to me, Waco is big...have you seen where I grew up?). I regretted not getting more involved in my city as an undergrad in Commerce (also a tiny town), and I wanted to do it right this time around as I tackled "round-two" of college. I gravitated to Harris Creek because the mission of seeking the welfare of the city was such a beautiful expression of the Gospel that I knew I wanted to be part of whatever was happening in this place. Seeing the level of care and skill that each staff member brought to the table, from the worship team and creative arts to the preaching and communication I could tell that this place was truly special. It was clear that the people of Harris Creek are both madly in love with Jesus and fully awake to the context of the call God has placed on them as a body of believers, so I jumped in heart first and haven't looked back.

Favorite Music:

Kari Jobe, Anberlin, Alabama Shakes, Bethel Music, Adele, and EDM artists like Flume.

Favorite TV Shows:

My favorite binge-worthy shows include Parks & Rec., Stranger Things, Bob's Burgers, New Girl, The Office, and Sherlock.

Most Interesting Thing(s) You May Not Know About Me:

I have an orange cat named Salmon. I'm a certified Pre-K through 12th grade music teacher. I love cheese a whole bunch (no shame). Also, you can find me at the Waco Farmer's Market a couple of times a month selling prints I design on the side for fun.
