Youth vs. Wild

Youth vs. Wild is our annual summer discipleship trip with the Harris Creek Youth. Students who have finished grades 6-12 are welcome to come on this amazing and life-changing trip. We will rock climb, hike, rappel, and white water raft. It's the highlight of the year for our students and leaders – you do not want to miss it! To reserve your student's spot, sign up online (or in person) by paying the $50 deposit. The total cost is $450; scholarships and fundraising opportunities are available if needed. Youth vs. Wild will take place June 19-24. For more information, check out the informational packet or contact Kathy Davidson.

College Summer Life Group

Summers in Waco can be a unique time, with many of our college students out of town. However, for those students that are still here, it is a great opportunity to connect on a deeper level with each other. This summer, we will meet for Life Group every Wednesday at 7p, led by Nate Hilgenkamp. Come join us as we dig into the sermons and connect with each other! Contact Nate Hilgenkamp for more information.

Navigate Family Fun Night

This event is for all our Harris Creek Kids elementary families. We will meet in the sanctuary at 5:30p for a family experience that will be enjoyable for both kids and adults. Following the family experience, dinner will be served outside, and families can play on inflatable water slides and an awesome zip line! (Have your kids wear their swimsuits under their clothes or something they don't mind getting wet.) We encourage you to seek out families that do not have a church community and invite them to the event! If you also have preschool-age children, feel free to bring them along, too! Registration is now open. The third annual Navigate Family Fun Night will take place on Thursday, June 1, from 5:30-8p at the Sunwest Campus. Contact Christina Ferrero with any questions.

Dive

On select Sunday nights throughout the summer, the youth will meet at homes for fun nights of fellowship, swimming, food, a devotional, and group discussion. These will be great times to further community as a Youth Group – students will not want to miss it! We will split Middle School and High School for these nights; Middle School will meet from 5-6:30p and High School will meet from 6:30-8p. This Dive will take place at the Barnett House (11400 Maple Shade, Waco). Contact Kathy Davidson for more information.

Camp In The City

This year, we are again partnering with Pine Cove to bring Camp In The City to Harris Creek. Camp In The City is a day camp filled with awesome activities, incredible counselors, and a strong spiritual focus. Each day, the campers will learn about Jesus through Club, Bible Studies, Hang Times, and Power Hour. Our kids will have a full day of fun, activity, and grow in their relationships with Jesus. Camp In The City will take place June 5-9 from 9a-4p each day. Contact Christina Ferrero with any questions.

Youth Weekly Service Opportunities

To help our students regularly seek the welfare of the city this summer, we will be serving weekly as a youth community on Tuesday afternoons from 2-5p. Each week, we will partner with a different non-profit around town and learn what they do to help Waco as we serve alongside them. We will also grab snow cones, ice cream, or other fun things before or after our service projects, so students should bring a few dollars each week. Contact Kathy Davidson for more information.
