Mountaintop

Throughout the Bible, the mountaintop was a place where people met with and heard from God; we want students to encounter God in that same way at Mountaintop each week. Mountaintop is our Sunday night weekly youth gathering designed around an engaging atmosphere, a compelling time of worship and teaching, and a space for in-depth discussion in youth Life Groups (grades 7-12). We meet Sunday nights in the sanctuary at Sunwest Campus from 6-8p. Contact Kathy Davidson for more information.

Serve Sunday

Serve Sunday is a church-wide serve day in lieu of our normal church services that morning. We will gather together at our Downtown Campus at 9a then go out with our teams to each project; however, the ending time is a bit flexible depending on the scope of the project. Projects will be finished by 12:30p at the latest. We are aiming to have 400+ members of our Harris Creek family serving with different nonprofits and organizations in the Greater Waco area. Our ultimate hope is that exposing our congregation to the kingdom work of these organizations will prompt more of our people to get involved on a deeper level in the community. Visit the Serve Sunday page for more information about the projects and how to sign up. Childcare will be provided at our Downtown Kid Space for children (ages 4 and under). Please be sure to register each child when you sign up for your service project, as there will be limited spots available. Contact Bethany Stephens with any questions.

Baby Dedication (Sunwest & Downtown Campuses)

Baby Dedication is an opportunity for parents to dedicate their kids to the Lord, commit to bring them up in a Christ-centered home, and receive commitment from the Harris Creek body in partnership. If you would like to participate in Baby Dedication on Sunday, May 13, please contact Adolynn Newton (Sunwest Campus) or Storey Cook (Downtown Campus). Dedications will take place during all services.

Family Fun Day

We are celebrating our fourth year of Family Fun Day (formerly known as Navigate Family Fun Night), and we are extending this fun event to our Create Ministry! We will have Preschool- and Elementary-specific family experiences to launch our summer series. We will start at 3p with a family experience at the Sunwest Campus. Following the family experience, we will head outside to play on water inflatables until 6p. Have your kids wear their swimsuits under their clothes or something they don't mind getting wet. Kona Ice and Pokey O's will be available for purchase. We encourage you to invite friends who don't have a church community to join us! Family Summer Kick-Off will take place Sunday, May 20, from 3-6p. Registration opens May 1. Contact Christina Ferrero with any questions.

Youth vs. Wild

Youth vs. Wild is our annual summer discipleship trip for the Harris Creek Youth. Students who have finished grades 6-10 are welcome to come on this amazing and life-changing trip. We will rock climb, hike, rappel, and go white water rafting. It's the highlight of the year for our students and leaders – you do not want to miss it! This year our theme is "The Journey," as we take a closer look at the story of Joseph and how his story reflects all of our journeys with God. Youth vs. Wild will take place June 18-23 in Buena Vista, CO. For more information, check out the informational packet or contact Derek Davidson.

Destination: Chicago

Our second "Destination" trip will be to Chicago where we will be working with Sunshine Gospel Ministries. We will be learning how to serve, how many issues affect people in vulnerable situations, and what the call of the Gospel is for those who follow Christ! This trip is for current high schoolers only. Register online. Contact Kathy Davidson with any questions.
