A special meeting of the elders of Harris Creek Baptist Church was called to order on December 9, 2015, at 6:30 a.m. P.Michael Smith, Chair, presided. A quorum was present. In attendance were Brady Herbert, P. Michael Smith, Brad Lail, Stefan LeRow, Graham Cook, Timothy Ateek, and Jim Underwood.

Graham Cook opened the meeting with parting thoughts on being an elder over the past 5 years.

The minutes of the December 2nd, 2015, elder meeting were reviewed and approved.

The elder board interviewed Blair Browning as a potential elder candidate to rotate on the board starting in 2016. The board agreed that pending congregational feedback Blair is a good and qualified fit for this season in Harris Creek.

Brady Herbert led a discussion on the next steps in the elder selection process.

Brady Herbert updated the board on the Our Turn/Big Give. Overall, there was a positive response with an increase in giving units. These will be reported to the congregation on December 20.

The needs of the body were discussed and the meeting closed in prayer.

A regular meeting of the elders of Harris Creek Baptist Church was called to order on January 13, 2016, at 6:30 a.m. P.Michael Smith, Chair, presided. A quorum was present. In attendance were Timothy Ateek, Blair Browning, Graham Cook, Brady Herbert, Chris Holmes, Braid Lail, P. Michael Smith, Mark Welstead, and Jim Underwood. Also in attendance was Joey White.

The minutes of the December 9th, 2015, elder meeting were reviewed and approved.

Officers for 2016 were elected by affirmation, as follows: P. Michael Smith (Chair), Braid Lail (Vice Chair), Jim Underwood (Secretary).

Joey White led a discussion on the 2016 budget which was approved unanimously by the elders and will be submitted to the congregation for final approval.

Brady Herbert led a discussion regarding upcoming elder meeting dates.

The needs of the body were discussed and the meeting closed in prayer.
