A regular meeting of the elders of Harris Creek Baptist Church was called to order on February 10, 2016, at 6:30 a.m. P.Michael Smith, Chair, presided. A quorum was present. In attendance were Timothy Ateek, Blair Browning, Brady Herbert, Chris Holmes, Braid Lail, P. Michael Smith, Mark Welstead, and Jim Underwood. Also in attendance were Drew Greenway and Joey White.
The minutes of the January 13, 2016 elder meeting were reviewed and approved.
Joey White reviewed the January financials for the church. This was a very positive review with indications of great generosity by the church body getting us off to an unprecedented start for the new year.
Brady updated the group on the staff search process, reviewing several possible candidates for each open position.
Joey White led a discussion concerning expansion planning with specific information on the status of our discussions with possible lenders, the retaining of certain engineers, and other aspects of the planning for the new facilities.
The needs of the body were discussed and the meeting closed in prayer.

In attendance were Blair Browning, Brady Herbert, Braid Lail, P. Michael Smith, and Jim Underwood. Also in attendance was Joey White.
Brady led the elders in a time of prayer, reflection and communion. and reflection.
Brady led a discussion using the article, "5 Strategy Questions Every Leader Should Make Time For," as a launching pad for a time of self-evaluation and looking forward in our long-term planning.
Joey White and Brady Herbert facilitated a conversation about planning on issues related to (a) discipleship strategies, (b) bylaw revisions, (c) staffing and organizational options, and (d) expansion efforts at the Sunwest campus.
Joey White provided a brief update on matters related to physical expansion at Sunwest.
Jim Underwood closed the meeting in prayer.
