Minutes of the Board of Elders - December 3, 2014

December 17, 2014

A regular meeting of the elders of Harris Creek Baptist Church was called to order on December 3, 2014, at 6:30 a.m. Graham Cook, Chair, presided. A quorum was present. In attendance were Graham Cook, Bob Howard, Brady Herbert, Stefan LeRow, Mark Welstead, P. Michael Smith, Brad Lail, and Bo Routh.

Bo Routh led a devotional reminding the group of the obvious and reflecting on his five years as an elder.

The minutes of the November 19, 2014, meeting were approved as presented.

The elders met and prayed with a potential elder candidate.

Brady Herbert led a discussion concerning the elder selection process.

The needs of the body were discussed and the meeting closed in prayer.

Minutes of the Board of Elders - December 17, 2014

December 17, 2014

A regular meeting of the elders of Harris Creek Baptist Church was called to order on December 17, 2014, at 6:30 a.m. Graham Cook, Chair, presided. A quorum was present. In attendance were Graham Cook, Bob Howard, Brady Herbert, Bill Killian, Stefan LeRow, Mark Welstead, P. Michael Smith, Brad Lail, and Bo Routh.

Bill Killian led a devotional about reflections on his time as an elder at Harris Creek, and opened the meeting in prayer.

The minutes of the December 3, 2014, elders meeting were approved as presented.

The elders met and prayed with a potential elder candidate.

Brady Herbert led a discussion concerning the elder selection process.

Graham Cook led a discussion concerning proposed 2015 Housing Allowances for Harris Creek pastors. The 2015 Housing Allowances were approved by the elders and executed by the Chair.

Brady Herbert discussed plans for congregational voting on the proposed 2015 Budget scheduled on Sunday, December 21, 2014.

The needs of the body were discussed and the meeting closed in prayer.

Voting to approve the budget will be held on Sunday, December 21. A Q & A Session will be held on December 10, in the Living Room at our Sunwest Campus, 8pm.

A regular meeting of the elders of Harris Creek Baptist Church was called to order on November 19, 2014, at 6:30 a.m. Graham Cook, Chair, presided. A quorum was present. In attendance were Graham Cook, Bob Howard, Brady Herbert, Bill Killian, Mark Welstead, P. Michael Smith, Stefan LeRow, Brad Lail, and Bo Routh. In addition, Joey White, Executive Pastor, and Kelly Merritt, Finance Director, were in attendance.

Bob Howard led a devotional about reflections on his time as an elder at Harris Creek, and opened the meeting in prayer.

The minutes of the October 22, 2014, and November 5, 2014, meetings were approved as presented.

Joey White and Kelly Merritt reviewed the proposed annual budget for 2015. After discussion, the elders approved the proposed budget.

Brady Herbert led a discussion concerning the elder selection process.

The needs of the body were discussed and the meeting closed in prayer.

Minutes of the Board of Elders - October 22, 2014

December 1, 2014

A regular meeting of the Elders of Harris Creek Baptist Church was called to order on October 22, 2014, at 6:30 a.m. Bob Howard, Vice Chair, presided. A quorum was present. In attendance were Bob Howard, Brady Herbert, Bill Killian, Stefan LeRow, Brad Lail, Mark Welstead, and Bo Routh. In addition, the following members of the church Executive Team staff were in attendance: Joey White, Drew Greenway, Galan Hughes, and Landon Collins.

Brady Herbert led a devotional about reconciliation from Genesis 32-33 (Jacob and Esau) and opened the meeting in prayer.

The minutes of the October 1, 2014, meeting were approved as presented.

Bob Howard and Brady Herbert led a discussion concerning new elder selection and next steps in the elder selection process.

Joey White discussed the estimates obtained for purchase and installation of an awning to cover the playground area.

Brady Herbert led a discussion concerning staffing alignment.

Joey White and Drew Greenway led a discussion concerning worship services beginning at the Hippodrome on 11/2 and related issues.

The needs of the body were discussed and the meeting closed in prayer.

Minutes of the Board of Elders - November 5, 2014

December 1, 2014

A regular meeting of the elders of Harris Creek Baptist Church was called to order on November 5, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. Graham Cook, Chair, presided. A quorum was present. In attendance were Graham Cook, Brady Herbert, Bill Killian, Mark Welstead, P. Michael Smith, Stefan Lerow, and Bob Howard. In addition, Joey White, Executive Pastor, was in attendance.

Brady Herbert debriefed the elder board with reflections on The Nines conference.
Brady Herbert led a discussion on the strategy of approaching elder selection for the 2015 year.

Joey White reviewed the church's financial reports for the month of October 2014.

Joey White presented an overview of the 2015 budget guided by powerpoint.

The needs of the body were discussed and the meeting closed in prayer.
