Creek Connection – 8/13/23

Happy Family reunion! Here’s your weekly overview of what’s happening. plus some details for tonight!

FAMILY REUNION tonight

join us at 5P | HARRIS CREEK

There will be no services this morning, so make sure to join us in person at 5p. Here are five things you need to know as we gather to celebrate what God is doing at HC.

  1. Show up any time between 4:30p and 5:30p. We’ll have games, inflatables, and food available. The worship service will begin at 5:30p.

  2. Speaking of food, we will have several options like pizza, burritos, and sandwiches at discounted prices. There will also be dessert food trucks on site.

  3. If you have kids, make sure they wear clothes that can get wet.

  4. Bring lawn chairs for the grown-ups. You can also bring a cooler with food and drinks.

  5. After the service, we’ll open the games back up and keep the party going until dark.

Staff Spotlight:
Hannah Thacher

Hi! My name is Hannah Thacher and I joined Harris Creek’s staff in 2020. I was born in Ohio, but grew up in Midland, Texas. Before landing in Waco, I bounced around all over Texas. I graduated from Texas A&M in College Station, taught high school in Midland, and most recently lived in Tyler, where I worked for Pine Cove Camps.

In my role at Harris Creek, I get to serve administratively with our College, Life Groups, and Frontlines Teams. Discipling college students is what I’m most passionate about. When I’m not sending emails, I enjoy visiting National Parks, studying God’s Word, and catching up with a friend over a matcha at a local coffee shop.
